Week 25: Civil War Was Really Good, Go Watch It

So, before we get on to the talking-about-Marvel's-Civil-War part of my blog post, I do have baby updates:

The baby is now big enough that if you're lucky and the timing is right, you can actually see her moving and kicking around inside of me. Also, she's developed a habit of just stretching out her arm or her foot, and leaving it there. Just hanging out, trying to rip a hole in my body (I already possess a hole in my body that enables you to leave, my dear child, you don't need to make another one).

Also, a fun way to pass time: just lie down and put something on top of your pregnant belly, and watch as it moves every time the baby hits it (I used my cell phone, but I'm sure other small household objects would work just as well).

Oh! And I can't miss a chance to brag on my husband, but he gave me a very nice Mother's Day this year. Next year should be even more fun, because we'll actually have a child at that point.

But before Mother's Day happened... there was Captain America: Civil War.

I actually really enjoyed Civil War (spoiler alert, the North wins, and the South still hasn't collectively left the denial stage of the grieving process). I'm a big fan of the Russo brothers and the work they did on Captain America: Winter Soldier, and this continued forward with that good work.

There were some times that I felt like it was more Avengers 3, due to the large number of superheroes in there that weren't Captain America or part of his crew, but overall it worked out, and I felt like each character did manage to get their own little arc at least.

Bucky was precious and I loved him and more importantly, I loved all his interactions with Sam.

Cap was great, and although I went into the movie being all #TEAMCAP, I felt like the movie did an actual good job of portraying both sides and how Steve and Tony were both wrong, and both right. I'm still Team Cap, but I understand Team Iron Man and where they're coming from.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the movie and I want to watch it more, so if you need a Civil War buddy to come with you, let me know and I will.
